Not much poker lately

Well.. haven't played online hardly at all in last week or so.... but did manage some live play over the weekend.... I played fine, except the circumstances for each of the tourneys... there were two, were less than stellar...

1st one...

Me
D - Female - knows poker, but not strong at holdem
S - Female - never played poker, never played holdem
J - Male - thinks he knows everything about poker, one of the worst players I've ever seen
A - Male - average player. tight agressive aggressive.. has improved his game since starting 2 or 3 months ago
L - Female - Same as A... also engaged to A.
L2 Male - older gentleman.. knows the game... decent player
M - Female - married to L2 beginner.

So, only 4 of us, out of 8, knew what was going on, at any given time... was only a 5 dollar buy in and more of an excuse to just get together, than it was any serious poker... the owner of the chips, decided we should use all the chips he had.. so, each of us started out with Greg Raymer size stacks.. and I don't mean his girth, I mean his stack size thru out most of the 2004 WSOP thingy... this meant, we were going to be there for awhile..

No need to tell you that people were sucking out left and right... I ended up throwing in the towel, after 75% of my stack was lost to J, who was holding out for a 1 outter and got it on the river..... oy vey...... other than those minor details... oh, and a certain person telling me you should never fold KK... ever.. heh.. this will be the next, what would you do....

The other tourney, later that night, was at Clicks.. and it was good to see my old poker playing buddies.. they obviously had missed me.. and made short order to welcome me back... I had an hour before the tourney started, so I sat and chatted with the director, oh shit.. I was supposed to send him some links... argh... anyway.. we caught up on the faces that were missing and I got a lil dirt on the new faces.... time went by pretty quick... and before ya knew it.. it was time to play.. i am seated at table 3... didn't know anyone here... first hand.. two people go all in and they are laffing and I figure sumtin is up... so I asked, who here has qualified for the money game? Well, everyone that was playing had qualified.. and not just at our table, but at all 5 tables... so, everyone that was playing had nothing to gain or lose... blergh... what fun is that... btw, I took a friends qualifying win, cuz he had qualified earlier.. so, I really didn't feel like playing much, but I thought I would buy into every flop so I could see how these guys play.. incase I got some good info for Wednesdays money game.. if i go....

On a more exciting note... I met someone... A lady... a nice lady... we were going to meet up Friday night, but I went to clicks instead... I was not in a very good 'make a good first impression' frame of mind, or attire, or even general hygiene for that mattre.. having not shaved in a week.. wearing crud jeans and a simple tshirt.... so, I called to cancel our friday meetup and we decided to meet up Saturday..... this worked out... I got all cleaned up Saturday, shaved and found a shirt with a collar, a pair of jeans with no holes and some nice casual shoes... i didn't even know I could look so good.... put some cologne on, just a tad... and headed of to the movie theatre we had agreed to meet at.... got a call from here about 5 minutes away... insured her I was coming.. found out she almost didn't go.. cuz she was worried I didn't want to meet her, from the night before and all...

The movie was Flight of the Navigator.. and it was an ok movie.....she seemed to enjoy herself.. I know I did... we shared a drink and some popcorn... walked her to her car... kiss goodnight..another kiss...well, maybe 2 or 3 more.... was nice.... I needed to leave, but, I didn't want to.... we got together at her place the next day, which would be yesterday, and watched another movie.. Garden State.. another ok movie...

This is a really nice lady...girl.. women... person... I am looking forward to seeing her again... I actually shaved 2 days in a row due to her... I have not done that in over 20 years... :)

When I win Wednesdays tourney, I'll put that money into party and UB and start up online again... but, will not go at it everynight....
